WELCOME to GM Sports Camps and Clinics!

General Camp Information

GM  Sports for over two decades has offered elite instruction with a personal touch.  Our elite camps offer an opportunity that is unique combining college coaches and top instructors  conducting sessions on all aspects of the game while having a chance to evaluate talent first hand for their collegiate programs.  Today it is even more critical to match players with a program for everyone’s happiness and success. We want players to enjoy success in their college careers while surviving in a college atmosphere with an extended family of 18 plus sisters and coaches.  The old school type recruitment camp of “cattle calls” hoping there is a coach watching you and hoping in that precise moment you do well is gone.  Teaching, watching and interacting with coaches and players is the “new school.”

We offer a unique and exciting training and college exposure opportunity. Clinic instruction will provided by COLLEGIATE COACHES, interacting individually with each player. This Clinic is unlike the typical recruitment camp! It combines elite instruction with the opportunity for you to get to know the coaches, their programs; and the coaches to see your talent and personality. It truly helps decisions about college and playing after high school. The Clinic is open to all players on teams registered for the associated tournament and even players not registered in the tournament in the 9th through 12th grades and some camps include 8th and 13th grades . Student athletes will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in pitching, catching, infield/ outfield, hitting and baserunning.  Coaches in their area of specialty will conduct sessions in the morning on defense (Infield, Outfield, Catchers, and Pitchers) and in the afternoon move to all offense (Hitting, Slapping, Bunting, Base running). For the list of coaches attending your camp you can continue to check the website at GMSPORTS.US. It will be updated continually as more players sign up for a 1:7 coach to player ratio.  A diverse group of NCAA coaches will be in attendance from top Division I to Junior college. Time will be allocated to talk with these coaches and find out more about them and their schools. This is a perfect opportunity to fit a player to the proper college level and school.

Cost:

The typical one day camp (6 hours of instruction) that we offer is $125.00.  The typical two day camp is $275.  There are always exceptions however so please note if any apply to your camp or situation.  For example, a mainland player traveling to Catalina Island adds a boat trip, island transportation is by golf cart or other costs not normally associated with the typical camp.  So please be aware of special costs and situations.

Group Discounts:

Group discounts will be considered on an individual basis for teams of 10 or more signing up together and payment by one party. Also, given these economic times, if there are other situations that perhaps a personal understanding is called for please do not hesitate to call and talk to us. Our ultimate goal is great instruction and exposing players to the collegiate community.

Refund Policy:

No refunds will be offered after one month prior to camp start date!  We understand injuries and other special circumstances can arise.  If your situation is unique and warrants special evaluation please call us. It will be the sole discretion of the camp administrator to decide the amount of the refund if any taking into consideration any expenses or products ordered on behalf of the player.

Contact Us:

The best way to reach us is by email at training@gmsports.us.  Office phone is 1-800-660-2071 (I cannot guarantee we are always there as we are out at camps).  Fax is 484-454-5609. Thank you.

What players and parents are saying about the camps

Gerry,

I had to tell you what another fantastic day my daughter had at your clinic/ combine in Quakertown. This was her second year
participating and will definitely sign up again next year. A little apprehensive last year due to her age (14), but within minutes felt comfortable and ready to work hard to get the most of the training available. Thank you also for having the results for pitching. This
gives her a goal to work for over the fall/ winter and allows her to see the averages that are out there. She has been pitching 54 /55 and goal is to reach 58 by winter. With your guidelines/techniques and the input she received from a few coaches at the clinic/ I believe she will hit her goal. Also, high accolades on your offense. She said within seconds SUNY coach tweeked her and had her bat back after struggling the past 2 months. She also appreciated the time spent speaking with him as well. If you could email us whenever there may be another combine/clinic that is similar to this.

- Beverly Reis

Hi Gerry,

I just wanted to send a big "THANK YOU" to you for running a great camp on Wednesday. It was well run, very organized, and the coaches were very passionate about teaching. I know it was a great experience for both myself and for my daughter Lindsey. The exposure to so many college coaches and her ability to see how those coaches interacted with the players and the ability to ask questions of them was invaluable. She has put a few colleges on her list of interested schools such as Moravian, Alvernia, Rhode Island, and Edinboro based on those specific coaches styles and interaction.

I have talked with her coach about the positive experience and he will try to organize to have our entire Rampage 18U Gold team attend the camp next year. Please keep us in mind of any other camps that you will be doing. If I can ever be of assistance to you please do not hesitate to let me know.

Once again, thank you to your staff and coaches for a great experience.

-Ron and Lindsey Lichtenberger

Just a note to tell you how much my daughter enjoyed the camp and I enjoyed watching the various coaches interact and instruct the girls. Gerry is a great motivator and actually tells the girls the "reasons" behind what they are told to do and the different methods that can only benefit them as a player. Thanks again for the camp. We look forward to attending others in our area.

- Terri and Amber Lynn

Your camp was the best camp we have attended-great job, great energy, great sense of humor. You are an unbelievable man, Thank you! Cindy Freitas My Daughter attended the GM Sports Elite Clinic last Friday in Stockton which was fabulous. It was organized, competitive, and informative in all aspects. Thank you for your time, and most of all for the clinic.

-Victoria De Vore

I cannot tell you how impressed I was with the techniques you showed the girls [and us coaches!] today. It was nugget after nugget of valuable knowledge. I have been home for 30 minutes and have not stopped talking about you. I think my husband is sick of me already, but I am going to say it again....

YOU WERE AWESOME!!!!

I know my girls [and us coaches] are better for your leadership today. My daughter [Shawna] said she felt like she learned alot and enjoyed the time you spent with them as catchers. Thank you Gerry for your hard work today. Thank you.
Sincerely, Dolly Wright,

-Mgr, Minors Gold

My daughter recently attended your camp. I must say that it was such a pleasant experience for us. Everyone was very professional and helpful. The check in process was quick and your staff was very courteous. My daughter expressed to me that the girls in the camp were so nice and supportive. Everyone "hi-fived" each other in support and was very very friendly. To me, that says that everyone was happy. I want to thank you for a great day that was well worth the time.

-Debbie Martinez and Annie Martinez

WHAT COLLEGE COACHES ARE SAYING

Hi Gerry,

I just wanted to thank you for the great opportunity you afforded me last
week by having me work your clinic. I enjoyed it and was very impressed with
the clinic itself. The kids had a great time. Great job.!!!!

Thanks,
Don Justus

It was a pleasure to work with individuals who are progressive and have the best interest of every player in mind

-Andrea Kenney, Head Coach California State Monterey Bay

While participating in two of the GM Sports Clinics, we here at Sonoma State, have signed two players to a letter of intent scholarship. I am really looking forward to my next camp with them.

-Josh Musselman, Assistant Coach Sonoma State University

It has been my pleasure to work 2 of the GM Sports clinics in Stockton, CA. I feel it is very beneficial for the program I work for to one, been seen as a active recruiter and two for the participant in the clinic to be viewed very closely by many other college coaches. I look forward to being a participating coach in future clinics.

-Paul Cavan, Assistant Coach California State University Stanislaus

I thought the GM Sports clinics were very informative and energetic. And I thought both players and coaches got a lot out of the clinic while getting an opportunity to evaluate talent and meet some fine young ladies.

-Alissa Smith, Assistant Softball Coach, University of Maryland

GM Sports clinics are a great way to meet dedicated players and spend time working on softball. I enjoy the camps and have met many wonderful student- Athletes.

-Erin Layton, Head Coach Marist College (now Head Coach Rhode Island)

We were thrilled to host a GM Sports Clinic/ Homerun Softball at Stony Brook last fall. The clinic was well-run, the staff was terrific and we had a tremendous response with over 120 participants. The clinics give prospective student-athletes the opportunity to learn the latest techniques from top instructors, work out in a nice facility, met college coaches and visit a campus. It is a super value and a great experience. We look forward to hosting again in 2008!

-Megan Bryant, Head Coach Stony Brook University

The GM Sports/Homerun Softball Clinic is a great opportunity for the players to improve their skills while working with and getting to know college coaches of all levels, D1, D2, D3, and JUCO. They teach the game the way it is going to be played at the next level.

-Tony Ciccarello, Head Coach Geneseo State College
